Pizza delivery man gets a $125 tip after overworked guy accidentally gives him three $50s instead of $20s, lets him keep it for good karma points: ‘I will be citing exhaustion.’

We all want to be generous people, but how generous exactly?

It's uncommon to regret an act of generosity or selflessness, but it does happen every once in a while. We all want to do good for others, that's a given, but not while actively trying to wrong ourselves in the process. Having a keen eye to when our good intentions are going too far is a requirement to have a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Redditor u/TapWilling7210 was unintentionally too generous. He got home after a long day of work, and since he had no will to cook, he decided to order a pizza instead. He was going to pay in cash, so he grabbed from his wallet what he thought was three $20's, enough to pay for the pizza and to leave a decent tip. The delivery guy was pleasantly surprised when he told him to keep the change, and he couldn't understand why. He thought the guy was simply really appreciative. That was until he checked his wallet and saw he hadn't given the delivery man three $20's. He had given him three $50's. No wonder the guy was happy, that was a $125 tip!

Of course, losing over a hundred dollars worth of cash is no fun. But the Redditor wasn't feeling shameless enough to call and ask for his money back, so he let it go. Some of us might also let it go, while others just can't afford to. Most people can't afford to give away money like candy, and that's more than understandable in this day and age. I don't think anyone would have been overly offended if he had indeed asked for it back. But hey, at least the delivery guy got a good tip! One person came out happy after the whole confusion, and perhaps he needed the extra cash that day. Who knows? I like to think that the Redditor had a good week and a nice reward from the universe after that. Good karma is a real thing!
